Planning a wedding can be a stressful time. Planners want everything to go smoothly. When they have flower arrangements when they want them to be organized perfectly. When they pick a band for wedding ceremonies they want them to perform with a joyous spirit.
A wedding is joyous occasion. When a band is picked they must walk a fine line between standing out and fading into the background. They must have enough of a presence to set the mood for the wedding, but they must also fade to black when necessary. The band should never, at any time, upstage the bride.
This is why it’s important to pick an experienced band. It is impractical to acquire a band that shows off and attracts too much attention to themselves. It is relevant, however, to obtain a band that can ad-lib. There will be many times when the wedding is starting late. A wedding band must be able to play soft music to keep a joyous mood without going overboard.
A band that is there for the wedding will typically stick around and play for the reception. This is a great contrast from the wedding music. The band must now be able to change tempo and play a tad bit more freely.
